We all know we've got stuff lurking around in our pantries and fridges that we honestly should not be eating, but we do it anyway! Why? I think deep down we're still lying to ourselves that "moderation" is okay and that if we "only eat a little" bit of the bad stuff, we'll be just fine. WRONG!!
The truth is MODERATION is a word that will kill your fitness and health. It's a word we use to copout of dealing with the reality of unhealthy relationships to food and a basic understanding of the powerful connection between food and our health!
If the processed and fast-food masquerading as quick and healthy don't kill you, the ingredients and additives alone will see off to an early grave.
SCARED?? You should be. The numbers speak for themselves people; the U.S. (and the rest of the world is catching up as they catch up with the America's love affair with toxic foods) is facing a health care epidemic with an increasing number of adults and children suffering from obesity, heart disease, and autoimmune illness. Most if not all of these, start in the gut: what you put into YOUR body!
I am a quirky and fierce warrior for women's fitness and health and yes, the struggle is real! I have literally agonized and bargained with my scale trying to make my body and my life, shape up to my expectations and my own skewed self-image. While it is not an easy journey by any measure, I came to the realization that the struggle to get control of my life could be achieved and celebrated by getting fit, healthy, fierce and empowered.
